SAQP awards are one of the Scottish Government’s most prestigious events to acknowledge achievements in planning – ranging from strategic visions to new settlements. Its aim is to recognise the hard work being carried out by, and within, the planning profession.

Exciting changes to the SAQP

This year marks an exciting opportunity to enter into 3 types of Awards.

We want to celebrate the 2016 Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design and have taken the opportunity to refresh SAQP, as well as introducing two new awards.

Firstly, in recognition of the talent in planning, we’ve created a new Personal Achievement in Planning Award (PAPA).

Secondly, there will be a People’s Choice Award in Planning (PCAP). This will take the format of an interactive map through which everyone, who has an interest in the built environment  (i.e. whether communities, schools, universities, planners, architects, engineers and developers etc) can participate by putting forward their personal suggestions on what they consider to be a great innovation, architecture or design, in planning, over the last 6 years.
